fascinating website -- original and insightful ideas about gender. I share a lot of them -- I'm biologically male but don't really identify as a male, but I don't really see myself as a female either -- some mixture of the two. You might be interested in checking out the website of Lincoln Theo, a South African writer and lifestyle coach who deals with many similar issues -- he identifies as a gay male, has tattoos, piercings, etc -- and female breast implants. Very unusual and stimulating! www.eldjaytee.co.za

Hi Jasper,

I love it!
I randomly stubbled upon one of your photos on Flickr and it lead me here. I'm so happy to find someone else who is happy with themselves, entranced by the chaotic nature of the human form, and unlike me has the focus to publish and try to get the world to wake up.

Regards,
Krystal

You are lovely; with eyes the color of a lichen I saw in a forest of dreams. Lichens obtain their water and nutrients from the atmosphere and can be sensitive indicators of atmospheric pollution.
I'm inspired to wear my stockings despite the chill!

Great to hear from you Roberto. This is a parallel universe, or many of them. I think a lot of interesting cultures percolate on the periphery, some of them disappear, some or reterritorialized by the mainstream cultural machine, and some of them explode and change the paradigm. I would like to think of this post- lesbian genderqueer culture exploding. The key is to get enough individuals to desert the gender roles they have been given, and join the genderqueer movement.

As to your question. I have not met anyone with quite my analytical focus, but I would love to meet others. I think that photo blogging gives a unique opportunity to examine the linkages between fashion and gender.

I stumbled across your photos on Flickr and followed your link to this blog.
I love your views and the way you are able to express your thoughts. Fascinating work and thanks for the little glimpse into this parallel univers. This is probably the feeding ground for corporate fashion designers and trend watchers. I guess 2 years down the road these combinations will be sold in fashion stores and will appear in mail order catalogues.

Question : Do the people you talk to have a similarly conscious and analytical approach to what they are wearing?
