The link between the occult and politics is as old as politics itself. In ancient Egypt and China, magi translated the messages of the gods into the edicts of the land.

Count Zinzendorf’s Pietist Moravian Brethren founded New Bethleham in Pennselvania. They strongly influenced German Protestants and through John Wesley’s evangelical methodist awakening of the 1700’s.

Organised along the lines of the Free Masons, the sect explored tantric practices in its Temple. They helped revive the heterodox idea of The Deity being bi-gendered. They meditated upon the jesus icon’s wound as a vagina and the spear as a penetrating phallus.

The Brethren did as much as anyone else to spread Born Again Christianity in America, partly by sending missionaries to the slaves.
